Dialed (“Dialed,” “we,” “us”) is a lacrosse training app made by Dialed Lacrosse Training Systems LLC (doing business as Dialed Lacrosse). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the Dialed app and this website.

The short version: we collect what we need to run your training — your account, your workouts, and (if you use one) your stick sensor's motion data. We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising trackers. This website uses a product-analytics service to see which pages people read; the app itself carries no third-party analytics SDK.

Information we collect

Account & profile

  • Account: your email address and password, handled through our authentication provider (AWS Cognito). We never see your raw password.
  • Profile: display name, role (player, coach, parent, or league admin), and — during setup — your date of birth and gender. Gender is used to tailor drill and activity recommendations to you.
  • Team info: the teams, leagues, and any jersey number associated with your account, plus invite codes you use or share.

Training & performance data

  • Activities you run and log — drills, reps, sets, timers, ratings, and any notes you add (for example, how a session felt).
  • Progress data derived from your activity, such as streaks, history, and per-skill breakdowns.

Sensor data

  • If you pair the Dial, our Bluetooth stick sensor, Dialed reads motion data — acceleration and rotation — from the sensor to count reps and compute metrics like your Dialed Index.
  • Bluetooth is used only to connect to your sensor. We do not collect your location.

Technical & diagnostic

  • Basic device and app information (such as device model, iOS version, and app version) needed to run and support the app.
  • During our beta, crash and diagnostic data may be provided to us by Apple through TestFlight. The app itself embeds no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
  • This website(but not the app) uses PostHog, a product-analytics service, to count visits and see which sections people read. It records the pages you visit, the site that referred you, general device and browser information, and basic page-speed measurements, and it stores a cookie so that a repeat visit isn't counted as a new person. It does not record your screen, and it does not capture what you type. None of it is used for advertising, and we never send your email address to PostHog — joining the waitlist is counted as an anonymous event.

Communications

  • If you join our waitlist or contact us, we keep your email address and message so we can respond and let you know when Dialed launches. The waitlist form asks for your birth year as an age screen: when it tells us you may be under 13, we ask for a parent's email address instead of yours. If you choose to answer the optional questions when signing up — like whether you're a player, parent, or coach, what level you play at, or your zip code — we keep those answers too, to understand who we're building for and where to launch first.

How we use your information

  • Provide the app: run drills, time sessions, and count your reps.
  • Compute and show your metrics, streaks, history, and leaderboards.
  • Power team features — sharing progress with your coaches, teammates, league, and any parent following your account.
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and launch.

How we share information

We share information only in these ways:

  • Within your team. By design, your coaches, teammates, league, and a parent linked to your account can see training activity, progress, and leaderboard standing.
  • Service providers. We use vendors to run Dialed — including Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, and authentication), Apple (app distribution and diagnostics), and Expo (app updates). They process data on our behalf under their own security terms.
  • Legal. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

Children's privacy

Dialed is built for youth athletes, and we treat that seriously. On this website, the waitlist asks for a birth year; when it indicates someone may be under 13, we ask for a parent's email address rather than the child's. In the app, where a user is under the age required for consent in their region (for example, 13 in the United States under COPPA), a parent or guardian must set up and consent on the athlete's behalf, and parents can review or request deletion of their child's information. If you believe a child has provided us information without the required consent, contact us at hello@dialedlax.comand we'll delete it.

Your choices & rights

  • Access & update: view and edit your profile and training data in the app.
  • Delete: you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@dialedlax.com (and, once available, from within the app).
  • Email: unsubscribe from launch or marketing emails at any time.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data; contact us to exercise them.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the app. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, managed authentication (AWS Cognito), and secure on-device storage for credentials. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Where your data is stored

Dialed runs on Amazon Web Services. Your information may be processed in the United States. By using Dialed, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Dialed evolves. We'll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email.
